Ever since he first got his hands on a camera, Dan McBride has been creating short films and his passion for visuals and storytelling has taken him all over the world.
A rare dual talent, he works as both a narrative film and commercial DP, and is an accomplished editor with over a decade of experience cutting broadcast spots and social campaigns for leading NYC ad agencies.
One of his major passions, besides drinking too much coffee, is crafting trailers and promos. He currently serves as the trailer editor for Radiance Films, and has also recently cut the trailer for DIVINTY, the Steven Soderbergh-produced cult film which premiered at Sundance. His trailers have been featured in media outlets such as Letterboxd, The Playlist, Inverse, Dazed, Paste Magazine, Far Out Magazine, and many others.
McBride is also the Cinematographer and Editor behind the Emmy-nominated and Webby award winning series Doomsday (now on Shudder) and for which he also received a co-nomination for "Best Director" at the Indie Series Awards. He was recently featured in Variety as a nominee for "Best Cinematography" at the New Filmmakers LA Awards.
Among his credits as Director of Photography are several feature films including Root Letter, an adaptation of the popular Japanese Playstation game, starring Danny Ramirez (TOP GUN: MAVERICK) and the indie drama Godless, starring Ana Ortiz and Harry Lennix, which was released theatrically and on streaming in 2025.
